Certifications

Alongside the core curriculum, students will gain expert knowledge and highly marketable, in-demand skills through certifications. Students can choose to complete either a Six Sigma or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. Additionally, all students will be Microsoft Office Excel Specialist certified.

Program Format

The Rawls College Professional MBA is a two-year, part-time hybrid program requiring 42 credit-hours (14 courses). Students complete online courses and meet in-person one weekend a month (three times per semester), Saturdays (12:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) and Sundays (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.). Attend in-person classes in one of our convenient locations: DFW, Lubbock, Houston, or San Antonio. Working professionals experience their core courses together, creating a stimulating cohort-based learning environment. During your tenure in the program, you will build relationships with peers, emanating from diverse backgrounds and industries, resulting in a larger professional network upon graduation.

Tuition and Cost Breakdown

The Professional MBA program offers a convenient all-inclusive tuition and fee structure which covers: tuition, fees, books, one optional certification course and exam, professional workshops, mentorship programs, career management services, online journal subscriptions, networking, social opportunities, etc. A one-time, non-refundable, enrollment deposit is require upon acceptance.

As a complimentary service, meals and snacks are provided to students during their on-campus attendance.

Admissions

The admission process is the first step toward earning your degree. We will work closely with you to ensure your application process is personal, simple and successful. There is no better time to begin your Professional MBA than now. We offer options to start in August or January, giving you the power to begin when you are ready.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit unofficial transcripts from any degree-awarding college or university, as well as any post-secondary institution attended.

Applicants must submit a detailed current resume, indicating professional work experience-including start and end dates (month and year) for each position held. Provide accomplishments and skills acquired, including managerial experience.

Applicants must complete two short-answer questions and one essay. All short answers and the completed essay should be compiled into one document.

Responses to short-answer questions must be less than 150 words.

Question 1: Projecting several years from now, what would you hope is the most significant attribute(s) you can bring to a corporation, organization, or society? In what way to plan to operationalize that attribute?

Question 2: With the additional burden of full-time work and personal obligations, what barriers and challenges do you foresee, and how will you overcome increased demands from this program?

Responses to the essay question do not have a word limit or length requirement.

Essay: What does the admissions committee need to know while considering your application? Tell us the part of your story that is not in the application documents.

GMAT scores are waived for applicants with two or more years of full-time work experience. To request a GMAT waiver, please contact Anissa Moussa with your application ID number.

All international applicants must provide proof of English proficiency before their applications can be considered for admission. Only your most recent measure of English proficiency is considered for admission purposes. This test is waived only for graduates of U.S. universities or universities in English proficiency-exempt countries. Applicants who have completed at least two consecutive years at a college or university in the U.S. or in an English proficiency-exempt country, are also exempt from the English proficiency requirement.
